LOL... right? No, of course we're not done. We're coming home to a stadium where we rarely lose in the post-season and the series is all tied. Yesterday was disappointing to say the least, but really, no one expected a sweep of Atlanta in their park. In fact, a week ago, most people would have been thrilled with (and were expecting) taking just one game at Atlanta before coming home. That's where we find ourselves. Now we need to get the bats going again and hope for continued solid starting pitching.

Did they get it done last year?

Yes, no one expected a sweep in Atlanta, but it's expected after winning game one and leading 4-0 going into the bottom of the sixth of game 2.

This team has been fundamentally sloppy for awhile now. Although, the defense is much better with Pache in LF and Harper at first.

So they have to win the World Series every year to avoid being labeled losers who "can't get it done"? Negadelphia at its best (worst).

Did I label them 'losers'? They'd only be losers if they finished under .500 ... They're a winning team, but this core hasn't gotten it done yet. I appreciate last year's Pennant, but let's win it all this year.

The Schmidt, Carlton, Boone, Bowa, Luzinski, Maddox, McGraw core got it done.

As did the Howard, Utley, Hamels, Rollins core.

Both teams (especially the '08 squad) should have at least two ... Phillies are 2-6 in World Series play.

Should have been a sweep ... That meltdown in game 2 is going to come back to haunt us.

Sleep it off and get ready for Kimbrel to rip our hearts out Saturday.

The Schmidt, Carlton, etc. core failed in the playoffs 3 times before they finally "got it done", but you labeled this group as "can't get it done" after their first playoff run ended in a narrow World Series defeat as a wild card, and the current playoff season has been near perfect except for 3 innings and where they had already grabbed home field advantage from the best team in baseball. Negadelphia at its best (worst).

They were also the lowest seed, the 6th seed and it was their first appearance in the post season in 11 years with almost no playoff experience on the team. I say if you are there (championship series/game), get it done because regardless of how you got there, you might not be there again for a long time. That being said, 2022 was anything but an underperformance; the completely overachieved.

Also, the 2007 Phillies came in with a similar, somewhat better position than the 2022 team. They squeaked into the playoffs, little experience, and then got swept in the first round by the lower seeded Rockies. Just sayin, not much to fault with the 2022 run outside of the missed opportunity.

But I never called them 'losers.'
Until they win the World Series, they'll be labeled as 'didn't get it done.' I hope more than anyone that they win this year.
