Monsoon just proved us that it's not over yet but what did the storm do to your area?

I think most everywhere in the valley it rained, at least a little, but the southwest side seemed to have been the wettest. Lots of rain in Avondale and Goodyear....

It rained very very hard in East Mesa for 2 hours with gusts of wind up to 70 mph.

Highest I heard was less than an inch and that was in East Mesa. SW valley got more than it usually gets (dust). Otherwise, this was not a "major" event. Many parts of the valley got very little rain. It was OK , but not major in my book.

They were saying on the news last night that Chandler got over an inch of rain, but it didn't feel like that much to me. It did rain pretty steady for about 45 minutes, though.

A friend of mine owns a vineyard down in Sonoita and they were wiped out by hail. All the grapes and even leaves were destroyed.

Rained and made it humid. The wind, blew my hairpiece off, on the way to the movies, however.

I had to clear some debris at work in Scottsdale. The storm took down a few larger tree branches. One of them was blocking the parking garage. Luckily it was at night so there wasnt a mad rush to clear everything quickly.

Wish we had some monsoon activity last night. We got a little bit of wind, but we didn't get any rain (Northwest Phoenix by I-17/Happy Valley).

As Roosevelt mentioned, unfortunately, Sunday night some of the Sonoita/Elgin vineyards were decimated by a hail storm (along with windows broken, vehicles dented), with a few like Dos Cabezas, Callaghan, and Canelo Hills losing 75%-95% of this year's crop. So sad, tough year with the May freeze too.

Pronghorn vineyard defoliated. Much of the fruit on ground. E... on Twitpic
