When I lived in Phx we used to go to a place called the Brass Armadillo. I know its just off of the I-17 and probably Glendale Ave (but not for positive).
Its actually like an antique mall and they have beautiful antique furniture, vintage clothing, everything and almost everything from the 'good ol days'.

Its actually consignment but you have a lot better chance of selling your things there than if you tried at a yard sale.

I love antique places and might try to check that place out in Scottsdale soon, too.

Here in Fountain Hills there is one called Fountain Hills Antique Center, was in there a couple weeks ago to check it out. They have a huge selection of jewelry cases (built into the wall) and furniture. It was quite nice. Anyone have any spare antique money-tree seeds?

Brass Armadillo is a great place to shop. Frequently they put the whole place on a 15% discount. Get on the mailing list. I've some jewelry to sell also, but with gold so high I might get more for melt-down.

It is actually just west of I-17 and north of Cactus Rd on 28th Dr. I go there all the time to get lost for hours. It brings back the greatest memories of my childhood. Here's the website:

Brass Armadillo Antique Mall Des Moines, Kansas City, Phoenix, Omaha, Denver
