I have to contract only internet provider.
Everything is cheap in Arizona. But wondering why internet provider (cox) is expensive than Eastcoast?

Ultimate(cox) is 89.99?
I had paid only 49 at east coast.

I don't want too slow plan.
Please recommend . The area is North Phonenix.
Thank you.

I have Cox. Don't get sucked into the Ultimate. You don't need it. I have the 49 dollar plan and stream Netflix without a problem.

I have Cox Premier for $65/mo. No other service comes close to Cox. I run voice over IP telephone and four computers. I have a wireless access point that I use for Netflix and my internet radio, including Sirius.

$65 sounds expensive for internet... but considering all the devices you can run, VOIP, Netflix, etc, I guess it's worth it.

we're paying only $44 for broadband plus limited TV, but it's too slow...
I wonder if we cud even run Netflix off our broadband... it says it's up to 12 mbp, but I don't think so.. it seems more like 3 mbp

You can turn your Cox internet up and down with a phone call. If I happen to be angry with them at the moment, I can call and have them turn down the service to Preferred (49./mo.) Then in a month I'll call them back and have them turn it up again. I have never tried their Ultimate service, although I bought the Motorola 6100 cable modem that you must have for ultimate. This is a killer cable modem and enhances the speeds of Premiere and Preferred. I check my download speeds from time to time and get speeds of 61Mps. The 6100 modem will bond four channels at a time for download. It is called DOCSIS 3.0 Anyone can buy the modem at Fry's Electronic or Best Buy for $80. to $100. I have had Cox internet for some twenty years. In the beginning you had to rent their modem which was a Lan City. It had to live on the floor because it was so heavy. It worked really well once you got the modem up. Cox has been busy in my neighborhood installing more fiber optics. I can hardly wait for the day that the fiber optics comes right into my house.

It has actually increased in speed to 15Mbps. Works just fine while streaming movies.
