Wedding at a haunted house? Hmmm.. Is that why I keep hearing marriage scares everybody?

I've only been at one outdoor summer wedding, but it wasn't here in Phoenix. My cousin's wedding in Cincinnatti, OH in 1979. It was hot AND very humid and I was not very comfortable wearing a 3-piece suit.

I also attended another wedding in the summer of 1990, here at a small church in Glendale, but the A/C wasn't working very well. So imagine having 300 people inside a small auditorium

Park weddings in the summer are nice, but you might consider having it up in the high country of Arizona. If not, then I'd recommend having it between October and mid May in the deserts.

I remember an unusual location for a wedding I saw one time at a rest area on the way to Los Angeles on I-10. I can't remember if it was on the California or Arizona side, but it wasn't too far from Blythe. I had to stop at the rest area for a nature call, and there was a small crowd of people under one of the ramadas, which turned out to be a wedding ceremony, and possibly a rushed one! I just hope they didn't have their honeymoon over there!

Which reminds me! You might be a redneck if.. your wedding was at a rest area!

Not if you marry the right person.

That is just plain stupid! Who in their right mind would have an outside wedding during the day in July!! Don't people think?

Default Haha

It's funny I didn't put when i was getting married but somehow the topic turned to a summer wedding. Hmmm. It will actually be in October. And yes you do have to be out of your mind to have a wedding in the middle of July in this state.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the riparian park in Gilbert. I can't remember its name, but it's a very peaceful setting and quite different than most parks. It's on Guadalupe and Greenfield.

And btw, I got married in March. Life is great, and I think that the feeling of, "Thank God that's over with," has finally passed. Now, we're just working on the growing old together for a happily ever after ending. It's been relatively easy so far. Best of luck to you!
