I ended up just getting one from Leslies. I know the guy there pretty well and he gave me a huge discount. My pool is 15 X 32 so I got the 18 X 34 cover and I got it for $125.00. The cover made a huge difference. It brought up the pool about 9 degrees within 2 days. That's what brought it up to 76. My pool was around the low to mid 60's until I bought the cover.
I'm sure the solar heaters wouldn't work anywhere near as well without the cover.
I'm only losing about 2 degrees per night with the cover. Without the cover I was losing 5 degrees every night.
The cover is a pain to put on and take off so I got a solar cover reel as well. That makes all the difference in the world. Just wind up the cover, go swimming and pull it back on. Easy with the reel.

Leslie's is very expensive and there are much better pool stores in the valley that are cheaper and have a better selection. Depending on what part of the valley you are in will depend on what other stores are available. I use Leslies only for emergencies as they are all over the place.

Good advice.
For me, there is a Leslies about 2 blocks away so I do tend to go in there a lot.

Thanks LBTRS,

would you have a pool supply suggestion around Camelback and Scottsdale area?

I think all the pool supply stores are expensive. I'm seeing Cactus Valley stores pop up a lot over here but they seem just as bad.

Here is an online store that I got my reel from. Cheapest I could find. Quite a bit cheaper on the covers as well.

Solar Pool Covers : Solar Products : Pool Supplies

I had to go to Lowes for something today and I saw they had solar pool covers. Far cheaper than what I paid on sale. Mine was $125.00 on sale (reg. $160.00) and Lowes had the exact same cover for $109.00. Same brand, same size.
