I think a distinction needs to be made regarding what actually constitutes Litchfield Park. LP is 1 square mile in size and has a population between 4, 000 and 4, 500. It is a very small town and does have that feel, that's why I live here. Just because the mailing address says Litchfield Park does not mean it actually is in "The Park". There are some areas surrounding LP that are unincorporated and must be assigned a zip in order to receive mail, this will mislead some people who think they are buying in LP, when in fact they are not. Don't be fooled. Those people who live inside the walls know how special this place is and don't care to have it watered down with row after row of red tile roofs and tan stucco exteriors. It may seem petty to some, but that's why it's a great place to live, people actually care.

Edited to say that an easy way to tell if a house actually lies within the walls of LP is if it the house address has only 3 numbers. Anything more than 3 numbers and it is probably in an unincorporated area of Maricopa county.

Thanks for this info. It is nice to have a way to distinguish the "real" Litchfield Park.
