Even in North Scottsdale, they don't have anything of real value other than possible a large yard and everything is 'new'. The fixtures aren't really nice and the appliances are charged at a HUGE mark-up (included in the home price).

The HOA and stucco box look is debatable and it's totally personal preference. However, buying used and the upgrading things and looking out for deals on such items will be a lot less costly in the long run and you'll end up with just a better house, space, and stuff!

You will pay a massive premium for new construction in many cases. Just look at Windgate Ranch up in 85255.
