Not sure how serious of a project this is, but they have quite a few people listed on their "team". I think it's pretty freaking cool! What do you guys think?

It's officially called "The Pin" and is 420' tall.

It looks like a honey dipper.

I like the idea. An iconic observation tower would be a good addition to the city.

That said, I don't like the design of this. It's minimalist, but not in an aesthetically pleasing way. It looks like a cross between a honey dipper, as ponderosa said, and a large water tower.

Very cool, it would attract a lot of visitors.

Meh...as a visitor I think it would have limited appeal. 400 feet is very small and with the hazy air in Phoenix
the view would be limited. The hiking vistas on the PHX mountains have more to offer...and they are FREE!

there would have to be several things/attractions going on in it to make it viable, in addition to being just an observation tower...like having a bar like in that one picture...perhaps meeting rooms, etc...???....access would have to be easy and hassle-free, even if there is a charge to go up....

despite the honey dipper look, I think the design is clever and clean....

Interesting but not sold ..... Do you really gain anything in they extra 100 ft from the compass in the Hyatt?

If so they could do something with the Arizona club space in the chase tower ..... Just seems arbitrary, although it could work

Is that for economies that can't sustain high rise growth?

If you hike to the top of South mountain you can see the entire valley including Cardinal Stadium. It would pretty much look like the tower at sky harbor.

Anyway, nice idea but it should be multiple use with maybe a restaurant.
