A report out by Barna today found Phoenix near the bottom of the heap when it comes to reading and knowing the Bible. We're down there with the likes of San Francisco and Portland and other liberal bastions. As many have pointed out on the forum, though we may be conservative, this is not a bible-minded city.

True. I can think of a couple of posts by people from the SE states who were hoping to escape the "churchy" culture.

There is nothing wrong with having a little "churchy culture". In fact - we should get back to more of that culture.

Not everyone shares that feeling, myself being one of those people.


Interesting list of cities, though. Some of them surprised me a bit. It was strange that Las Vegas was a few spots higher than Phoenix! Not something I would have expected.
