I'm so jealous! we are stuck up here in the PNW...we started our day with thick overcast..and windy. Then it started raining and we got what I call "sideways rain"...Can't wait until we move to our AZ home in about 16 weeks(finishing the school year).. Bring on the sunshine!

I went to a spring training game on Thursday and you could not ask for better weather. I have only been in the Valley of the Sun for a year but I really enjoy these months. (The summer not so much, lol) Snowbird, what part of the PNW are you from? We moved from the Port Angeles, WA area and we are loving life down here. Hope your move goes well.

I moved here from the PNW almost 2 years ago (June). I couldn't wait to get out of the rain, cold and sideways rain. I know exactly what you're talking about.
You're going to love it here.

Default Did I call it or what?

Remember a couple of days ago I said I was going to wash my cars so it'd rain? Well, washed the cars and sure enough it rained the next day (yesterday) and while it wasn't a heavy rain it was enough to mess up the carwash I just did.

You who know me know I love the heat. I'm so excited to be hitting spring, bring it on!! And yes, I do realize to most transplants I sound ridiculous. But, my blood is so thin below 70 gives me a chill.

Well you don't sound ridiculous to me! If I was still on my blood thinners I'd be chilled right along with you. I really like the weather of the last couple of weeks (minus the real chilly days) and for me winter this year was no real big deal. While I don't really enjoy the 100's it is what it is and still beats below 0 and shoveling snow.

Thanks! We are on Whidbey Island..so not too far from where you were. We thought we would "snowbird"..but decided the weather up here is just too unpredictable..so we are going to AZ (Anthem) full time

Anyone who hasn't yet lived in the desert might expect that it's something like Florida, where even winter nights are usually though not always pleasant. Then after living here one realizes that there is in fact a winter albeit mild. There's a discernible chill from sometime in November until the middle-end of February.

End of February is to me the beginning of the best few months-warm not hot, as well as the driest part of the year after March is over, with the clearest skies day after day for a succession of several months. Just about perfect until the heat hits sometime in May.

We'll get some more brief winter storms Friday and Saturday, as March is the stormiest month across the continent, but aside from those storms March continues the nice weather pattern of the next few months.
