Best of luck Eric! The desert is a special place/has a beauty all its own.....no green grass needed.

As for summer? Yeah, some dislike the heat....we love it and always have. It's cold I can't tolerate(which is about 55F or below for me), but everyone is different.

Realize the majority of the year out here is beautiful weather wise to most people. As for the summer months, that thing called A/C in the house, car, stores, etc. works wonders for those who don't want to venture out much in the heat. And on more than a few of those hot summer days, getting out early in the morning can buy you some nice time to enjoy the outdoors.....or late at night.

No worries!

Thanks. I'm very much looking forward to the change in climate.

It'll definitely be nicer here in December than it will be in Car-Bon-do-lay

Are you driving out in December or flying?

Haha! You're familiar with my, ahem, lovely little town??

I'll be driving out. Just the dog and I. I'm using a moving company to get my stuff out, and (hopefully) enjoying the drive.

Oh yeah. I used to live up that way and work in Scranton. And my wife's from Duryea.

Do you have your route planned yet? If you're going to be coming across on 40 you'll want to watch the weather in northern AZ. It can get pretty snowy up there. It already goes below freezing at night at the Grand Canyon.
