I'm moving to Phoenix the very end of September. Super excited. Just wanted to share with everyone and if any locals have any advice for a newbie in town, please share.
Advice about meeting people (I am rsvp'ing to meetup.com events) or just any advice in general.

I would recommend playing with google maps just looking around the city to familiarize yourself with its layout. Something important for PHX "newbies" to know is that Central Avenue in Phoenix is the exact middle of the Metro (in terms of East-West), and you have all of your "Avenues" starting with 1st Ave 2nd Ave etc to the West of Central, and you have all your "Streets" starting with 1st St 2nd St etc to the East of Central.

My advice to you???? Never, EVER clean your pool with your cell phone strapped to your side. I've killed 3 phones in two years because of that.
