Thought this was an interesting read.

Interesting, our zip code was the second highest number of home sales last year.

From the article...

"ZIP codes 85383 in Peoria and 85338 in Goodyear ranked No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, in the number of home sales in metro Phoenix last year."

Yes, I also found that interesting. Driving around parts of Goodyear, I've noticed there are quite a few new builds going on in various parts of the city.

Because of the 303, it seems the jobs are also following. That's fantastic news! With over 42% of the Valley's home growth going up in the West Valley, this area is going to change quickly.

It's interesting that they continue to mention the master planned communities are seeing the fastest growth. I wholeheartedly agree that's the best bling for the buck!

It will be interesting over the next decade or so to watch the growth along 303. Lots of land to develop on up and down that loop.

Speaking of which...when the heck are they going to put a grocery store within a mile of Lake Pleasant Pkwy and Happy Valley Rd? WE NEED ONE!

I predict it will be spotty. Just look at the 101 from Bell down to the 10. It's hit and miss with a lot of farm fields in between.

We shall see.

I'm guessing the 303 right around I 10 will be developed rather quickly. Prime location for just about anything including distribution hubs.

I agree with you in general. But there are differences. 101 is very close to the undesirable side of Phoenix while 303 is a clean slate. There is considerable home building going on further west that leap frogged the 101 corridor. Goodyear, Surprise and the boom part of Peoria are all 303 towns. The next mall (if ever built) is a 303 mall. There are no plans for anything in Glendale. So the west valley growth they talk about in the article is along the 303 not the 101. Who knows what is to become of the 101 - maybe Bidwill will actually build his multi-use business park at Westgate. Other wise, I think hotels/apartments will grow on the southern end of it that is still fields. Whatever, it won't be vacant. But I also do not think it is going to attract the housing at price points you will see along 303 and the commercial development that follows.
