I'd rather a dog sit next to me than some nasty person who just did his/her business and didn't wash their hands afterward. I see it every time I go out to eat. Or, someone coughing/hacking/sneezing all over and touching everything. I think most don't realize how dirty the human race can be. I'm pretty sure a dog can't spread Hepatitis A, Flu, etc like kitchen workers, servers or customers can.

There's a small chance the human sitting next to you didn't wash his/her hands after going to the bathroom, there's a 100% chance the dog did not wash his/her paws after pooping and then traipsing through it, and they didn't brush their teeth after cleaning themselves either

There's also a 100% chance that fido or fidette didn't wipe or shake his thing.

75% chance he shakes it next to your sandwich when you look away

Dog friendly restaurant.

LOL Leave your damn dog at home. It will be fine for an hour. It's a dog not a human. Yeah and I'm sure there's a slob in there who hasn't washed his hands but I'm not going to shake hands with him or touch the door knobs in the washroom. But when that dog decides to lick it's privates in a restaurant or shake his willknots ,,,that's a whole other story.

Which to me means it's more loyal and fun to be around than the vast majority of you people in this thread. How about you all avoid dog friendly places and we won't bring our dogs where they are not allowed?

I've relayed this story before...I was at a car dealership having my truck serviced and sitting in the waiting room. It was standing room only and two of the chairs were being occupied by two dogs that the owner felt were deserving of the nice comfy stuffed chairs more than the people that were paying customers and waiting for their cars.

People need to remember they are animals and not on the same level as people.

I get a kick out of people who bring their dogs (usually big ones) on public transit. Up they go on the seat all 4 dirty paws and hairy butt. If we're not supposed to put our feet on the seat neither is your bare arsed dog.

If there's a dog in a restaurant other than a well trained service dog they won't be getting my business. I don't care how much "fun" they are.

I just don't go places like that. I'm not interested in dining with other people's pets or their children.
