THey'll take what they can get. Now that the Coyotes will be available in two years, the bidding will begin.

Maybe Glendale can use the extra 20 million to figure out what to do with the Arena and developments at Westgate to make the place pop. The casino will help but there needs to be more.
Lol.....ohhhhh boy

Your inside information on this matter is phenomenal. What are you going to say in 2017 and there still in Glendale ? I know.....they will be gone in 2019, 2021,2023,2025,2027,2029,2031, 20

It's a business, not a public charity. They lost 34 million this year. Next year it will be that plus another 10 million on the new Glendale deal. Why would they stay? I guess you are a fan, but you are in a small minority. Sorry, but hockey has no place in the valley and it is going to be gone after 2017 though Glendale may pull in a minor league team to fill some of the seats.

People here do not support losing teams like less transient cities. This bandaid will only make it worse when you combine the lousy on ice product. 2012 was a good run though. They were better managed by Bettman as players actually wanted to play here.

Right, you thought attendance was bad before, it's worse with a lame duck team. Same will happen with the St Louis Rams who are headed to LA.

You got me curious how many people attend. Here's the data:

2014-2015 NHL Attendance - National Hockey League - ESPN

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gila_River_Arena

Average attendance 13,345 last season for an arena with a 17,125 capacity. Towards the bottom as far as far as NHL attendance according to the stats but that's pretty good attendance in my book.

Look at the attendance data of the Arizona diamondbacks in comparison as a % of filling the arena:

2015 MLB Attendance - Major League Baseball - ESPN

What makes YOU think they are going to want to do another deal with Glendale in 2017? This is a breathing room deal for both sides.
