Default The Arizona Coyotes are here to STAY !

The city of Glendale and the Arizona Coyotes have reached a resolution !

We will continue to be a ALPHA tier valley with all 4 professional sports teams. And just like the owners said, " ...if our intentions were to leave after 5 years to another state, we could have loaded the trucks up the day the city of Glendale voided the contract ".

Give props to the city of Glendale and the Coyotes for taking care of business.

Next up : The Casino baby !

Yes, to 2017. This buys the Coyotes some time to see if they can relocate within the Valley. Lots of hoops to jump through there. If they fail, then they will relocate elsewhere... no choice.

It certainly looks like the plan is to take two years to find another place to play. Glendale is paying them less than half of what they would have gotten. I suppose they could renegotiate after two years, but they are on their way to Portland or Vegas. No one in Arizona is gonna pay what they want to stay here. Maybe Glendale can use the extra 20 million to figure out what to do with the Arena and developments at Westgate to make the place pop. The casino will help but there needs to be more.

I don't know why people keep saying Vegas. AFAIK, Vegas is looking for an expansion team. That wouldn't be the Coyotes.
