My ideas for Valley Metro future improvements (Phoenix, Chandler: neighborhood, to buy)

I found this interesting Wiki, and I decided to make how I think Valley Metro should look like in the future. Obviously it includes my dream light rail lines, but I also decided to add bus routes, as well as the bus and rail fleets. I added a few local routes, a few express routes, and several more neighborhood circulators.

This forum isn't the right place to continually post these type of posts. These are just your fantasy, and will never happen. You should just contact Valley Metro with this, but I have a feeling you already do that daily anyway.

The light rail lines are probably a fantasy, but what about the bus routes and fleet? Surely in the future there would have to be some expansion of our bus system. In fact the City of Phoenix and the RPTA will be issuing an RFP to buy more buses this month, some of which will be used for service expansion.

The article is also irresponsible. Nowhere does it mention that this is a pipe dream thought out by some light rail obsession. Someone who has never lived here might take this as a real public transit info and plan their vacation or move based on it.

Well, let's be clear, you may have found the site, but you WROTE what's in the link. Why don't we wait and see what the ACTUAL plans for bus expansion are based on Prop 104, not your thoughts and dreams. This isn't helpful to people wanting to learn more about the actual present and near future public transit system in Phoenix. I'd suggest you find a blog to talk about this subject, since you are fairly obsessed with it.

• 124 - Warner Road
• 140 - Ray Road
• 144 - Lindsay Road
• 152 - Val Vista Drive
• 165 - Dysart Road
• 176 - Recker Road
• 194 - Ellsworth Road
• 536 - Apache Junction Express
• 537 - Queen Creek/San Tan Valley Express
• Downtown Chandler Fairy (circulator)
• Downtown Gilbert Navigator (circulator)
• Superstition Shuttle (circulator)
• M&M - Phoenix Midtown/Melrose Neighborhood Circulator
• Tempe Orbit Ceres
• Tempe Orbit Eris
• Tempe Orbit Haumea
• Tempe Orbit Makemake
• Tempe Orbit Neptune
• Tempe Orbit Pluto
• Tempe Orbit Saturn
• Tempe Orbit Uranus

I am pretty sure that at least one of these bus routes are inevitable in the future; I highly doubt every single one them are a pipe dream that will never happen.

I am pretty sure that at least one of these bus routes are inevitable in the future; I highly doubt every single one them are a pipe dream that will never happen.

I suspect there will be some expansion of the bus system based on Prop 104, but not this extensive anytime in the foreseeable future. It's taken forever to get Orbit service south of the 60, and it will be VERY limited and is not particularly well thought out, IMO. So, I'd rather discuss the real plans, not your grandiose ones. They don't help people looking for real, accurate information.
