Wrong assumption. "Evangelical Christian" and Baptist.

But back to the topic, you've had a lot of good suggestions here. I've also seen some décor items at Lamps Plus, but haven't been there in a while.

I too was going to mention Lamp's Plus but it isn't really a huge discount place. We had a Lamps Plus decorator from the Peoria store out to visit at our home and she was able to extend additional discounts on accents including lighting (better than instore prices). There was no charge for her service. We didn't feel any pressure but ended up buying a couple thousand $$'s. We found the store to be filled with very interesting mirrors, tables, and of course lighting. I'm into high value and Lamp's Plus definitely beat the competition. I definitely agree with your suggestion.

As far as Goodwill, it just depends on which one you go to. Try and find a newer one or one in a better neighborhood. Secondly, how inexpensive are you trying to go. The nicest of places like Pier 1 imports or William Sonoma have a clearance section or great sale. I agree Home Goods is ok. You can check out the "street deals" in the nice neighborhoods. By that I mean, the wealthy people put "better than Goodwill" items out on trash day because they got bored with it after a month. They best option, however, is online.

Check out the close out and discontinued items in Department Stores, interesting décor can be achieved with groupings of three items of different sizes, shades of the same color and mix of finish textures. A few different groupings can change the feel of room by season.
