Hey guys,

Where are some good Asian food markets, I'm moving from Southern CA and normally go to places like Ranch 99 or Daiso market (Asian version of dollar store basically, just a better quality and more options).

Also, what are some of the top ramen places in the area?

Don't mind driving too far as it'd probably be a one/month trip

Thanks

The best ramen place is Tampopo Ramen it's one of my favorite places to eat.

We still don't have Daiso. I think a Daiso would do really well here, but probably no convincing them to move anytime soon.

Try Mekong Plaza on the SW corner of Main and Dobson in Mesa. There are a handful of Asian restaurants and a rather large Asian supermarket within the plaza. There was talk last year of an H-Mart opening on the SE corner of that same intersection this summer. I don't know if those plans are moving forward. For ramen, I suggest Noodle Bar on 1st Avenue and Adams in downtown Phoenix. Also, look into Ramen Dozo on the SE corner of McClintock and Southern in Tempe. There are definitely other Asian restaurants and markets scattered around. It's nothing like Southern California, but this area has a growing Asian population.

I think there is a Super L Ranch Market at the Chinese Cultural Center.

Most of the Asian food markets are going to be in central Phoenix or the east valley, mostly Tempe.

We shop at Lee Lee International Market in Peoria. It is really an Asian market with stuff from all over the world. There is one in Chandler also.

7575 W. Cactus Rd. Peoria, AZ 85381 – Tel: 623-773-3345

The Asian population is growing nicely in Chandler and the east valley, not so much in the west valley though.
