I wonder if this February will turn out like 2016 with temperatures in the 80s for most of the month. January 2018 seemed to be similar to February 2017, with temperatures in the 70s for much of the month.

What are you talking about? We had winter! A whole 3 days back in December!

This weather is glorious! Perfect top down driving weather. Nothing enjoyable about cooler temps.

The mornings are still cool = jacket in the morning, shorts shirt by afternoon and then sun goes down it feels cool

We still open the windows after sunset until mid day. It's all fine by be as I look at Boston's forecast

And that one day 2 weekends ago. Saturday night I believe it was. Windy, cold as eff, raining sideways. That felt like winter. This 82 degree crap? Not so much. I want highs in the low 60s, lows in the low 40s. That's the AZ winter I crave.

Saturday the 20th I was outside for most of the day, volunteering at the Vegetarian Food Festival and it was COLD. It was raining off and on. (still a great turnout for the festival which is awesome) I did not enjoy myself one bit, thanks. I would have much preferred the 70s/80s. Seasons are overrated, anyway.

Seriously, I can't believe people are complaining about gorgeous, warm weather in January! I a sure there are millions of Americans that are living where it is not gorgeous and warm that would gladly change places with you.

Yeah, well, they don't suffer through months and months and months on end of horrific heat, either. We do. And when we finally get our break from it, I don't want it to be warm. I just want typical January weather back. This forecasted mid-80's stuff is lame. I hiked last weekend and was absolutely drenched in sweat. That just aint right.

I was at the Pavilions in Scottsdale on the 20th. Got there around 7 PM, and by 7:30 they called off the car show due to the crap weather. The rain wasn't fun, but the temps were nice.

I'm complaining because if this drought and high temps continue it will translate to a fire disaster this summer in the high country. SRP reservoirs are under 60% already and with little or no runoff this year, things could get dicey next year.

Agree, we need fire bans up north starting now.

This is the hottest winter I have ever experienced here. Next Wednesday is is a whopping 21 degrees above normal.

The colorado mountains haven't received nearly enough snow either which will not be good for the Colorado River.

Sun freaks are so ignorant. All they can do is boast about how "gorgeous" it is to be warm & sunny with temperatures in the 80s during January & February, which is highly abnormal to the point of being at or near record levels. Meanwhile, no rain or snow anywhere in the SW, creating tinder dry conditions and a potential early & dangerous fire season in the high country if this trend continues. This also translates to lack of runoff for the reservoirs. But what do the sun freaks care? They must think water is magically created inside their plumbing.
