I've thought about the same issue. The old adage "Make hay while the sun shines" applies here. We have lots of sun but storage of excess elegy is the key. I produce much more power than my minimal batteries can store during the day so I set my inverter to capture the excess and run a small bitcoin miner during that time and shut it down when it's appropriate. Just started this and already made some $$ but I need to fine tune the process.
