The difference between a Minnesotan and a Canadian is this: Canadians are known for being beer swilling drunks, but Minnesotans don't consume alcohol ... they drink mini sodas! Yes, I know: don't quit my job to be a comedian!

You are zero for three. 1st, Minnesotans factually more than average. Look at the USA averages: https://www.statista.com/statistics/...e-us-by-state/ The average Minnesotan consumes 2.77 gallons of concentrated ethanol per year. AZ citizens consumes 2.3 gallons. The average in the USA is 2.35. In other words, Arizonians consumes under the US average while Minnesotans consume more alcohol than average.

Next up, only transplants in MN call it "soda". Minnesotans call it "pop". I've lived in MN my whole life so I am not guessing. The shelves are stocked with the typical 12 ounce cans of "pop" (12 or 24 cans) in combination with 2 liters. Also, the 16 OZ plastic bottles. I'm trying to remember the last time I saw someone drink a mini-soda. I'm thinking close to never.

Finally, for your last inaccurate perception, people in the USA and Canada drink about the same amount of alcohol (see https://www.macleans.ca/society/cana...e-says-report/ ). That link shows the leading nations with the most amount of alcohol consumption. Sure, they might like their Caesars ("bloody Mary's") or their Crown and coke. You might see them crack open a Labatt or Molson beer. That's simply their drink of choice versus a Moscow Mule, Bud Lite, Margarita or wine.

I don't mean to bust your chops but this website is called "City-Data". In order for comedy to have humor, it has to have some truth embedded in the joke.

Wow! Three and a half paragraphs explaining something that should have only taken a brief sentence: all over what I consider a NON issue which I don't give a dog's turd about. I'll bet you were the type who got all bent out of shape over the St. Olaf stories on "Golden Girls", or the depictions in the movie "Fargo".

Bent out of shape? Nope. I was trying to help you out.

I loved the movie Fargo! It was done by Minnesotans (the Coen brothers). It was hilarious and garnered awards because there was a tremendous amount of truth in its depiction of rural Minnesotans. Do you see the difference in your attempt at humor (0 for 3)? I suspect you don't "give a dog's turd" about the facts, but just in case you didn't know, Fargo is really in North Dakota. Calling it Fargo was part of the joke. Because some "geographically challenged" individuals actually think Fargo is in MN.
