Is there a specific pesticide for scorpions??? I know the house was treated but what is the frequency of treatment and will store bought sprays work ??? I ask because I found my 1st scorpion on the back porch, all though it was dead it was big!! 6 inches big! ....when we moved I knew about them and all but didn't think I would find them that big . Not sure if the pesticide killed it or something else but I'm so glad it wad dead and if the sprays killed it I wanna keep that ball rollin!

Cy-Kick...you can get the consumer stuff on Amazon or just make sure your Pest control uses it. Otherwise, DE and glue pads around doors will keep them from getting in but they laugh at your typical bug spray.

Hi there - I moved to AZ 3 years ago and found an abundance of scorpions around and some would come in as well. We called Responsible Pest Control (623-455-5460) and they started coming out monthly. They not only spray for their food source but they do have a chemical to kill scorpions. When they came for the first time we went around with a black light and found 25 dead ones (yikes). They have great customer service as well. Like KurtAZ said make sure your house is sealed also.

Cy-Kick CS is the stuff you want. Grab a bottle of that and a pressure sprayer from Amazon and you'll be set.

Bug and Weed Mart. Locations are scattered around. I use Tengard around the outside of the house and in the garage. Sticky traps from Home Depot are used around the garage.

6 inches! You have a vivid imagination or you saw a rare scorpion. The bark scorpions which are the most common and the nasty ones, are only 2-3 inches long for the biggest ones.

When it comes to scorpions, bigger is better. I think that's a line from a movie but it's true, at least here in AZ.

I work at the Scottsdale Pavillions and we found s dead one that was well over 6” counting the stinger. It’s body was like a 1/4 pound burger. It’s body was tan but fatter than a bark scorpion and obviously waaay bigger.

I heard a guy caught a huge black one in the desert just north of there as well.
