The area could use 350-500 jobs that pay in the area of $43k for essentially blue collar labor. Good jobs with benefits that add to the tax base.

If anyone is concerned about the dwindling middle class, these are the type of jobs that stabilize. Solid income with no cost of entry.

I doubt very much that any more than 2% of the workforce in that plant will earn that 43K.

I'm way ahead of everyone. I hate U of Oregon which is bankrolled by Phil Knight (Nike) in the tune of billions over the decades. I don't remember when I last had a Nike product in my possession. It's been awhile.

Ducey's job is to look out for the state. Attracting jobs to AZ and keeping them is part of what he was elected to do. He's an idiot for pandering to the MAGAt crowd IMO.

There is a culture political war going on in America. Recently, all kinds of actors declared a boycott of Ga for its anti abortion law. The left fights for its power, and they have a lot of money and power. If the right doesnt fight back, all its rights will disappear and our country will become a part of the third world.

“Interesting” post. What rights are we discussing in this thread that you’re referring to?

I guess no one is going to mention that he was seen wearing his Nike sneakers at a Fourth of July event...after he was critical of the company?!

He is actually looking out for the state. He's not giving tax incentives for an anti-American company who chose to pander to a washed up SJW! Maybe you should stop worry about the MAGA crowd and look at the big picture!

Goodyear has their own deal with Nike, and it has nothing to do with Duceys remarks or statements..a multi billion dollar company like nike, who makes NOTHING in the USA, and is famous for abusing/child labor/ horrible working conditions all over the world, doesn't need a handout from Ducey to build a building in Good year; not sure why ANY state gives handouts to lousy corporate citizens like this, but, the city of Goodyear and Nike still seem to be going forward without the states un necessary handouts/tax breaks.

Well said!

Funny as these same ones critisizing Ducey are probably the same ones applauding AOC for losing Amazon which was much more lucrative than the Nike deal!
