I realized a lot of people don't like snowbirds that much but they do spend quite a bit of money at our businesses

I can't speak for anyone else but I like snowbirds! They come out here and spend money at AZ businesses, and generally don't commit crimes or take AZ jobs! In my opinion they are more than welcome!

It is mildly annoying to meet someone simpatico, only to find out they're returning to the hinterlands in May or whenever. It's like making friends at summer camp. Odds are you'll never see them again.

Do snowbirds only socialize within the confines of their 55+ communities? I wonder. They have this "We're here, but we don't really live here" thing going on.

Sure, I like them just fine. They go great with ketchup and fries on the side.

Isn't that the case with all retirees that come here? Year round and snowbird.

Yep! Land of mostly transplants including myself. I like and respect everyone until something is done to alter it!

the old people pulling their cars with their RV are a bit much...likely the same ones insuring that no restaurant will ever dare serve spicy food....

That they do! Working in restaurants most of my life I'd have to say the Snowbirds gave me a nice income. I live in a popular tourist area so we are busy year round. A bit more traffic, etc. but we deal with it.

I moved to the central city where I don’t ever really see them. In the burbs they’re annoying cause they clog up the streets and you have to listen to people whine about this and that and “ya know back home...”

But take em or leave em I guess.

Yes. I feel the same way about retirees.
