Not to put too fine a point on it, but White Castle would get their butts kicked in Florida. I grew up there, and there is a well-established chain called Krystal that sells basically the same burger (the men who started the chain in the early 1930s studied White Castle before they began), and in my opinion it is a far superior product (having had both). I live in Las Vegas now, and I go to White Castle only because the nearest Krystal is in Louisiana.

There is a reason that White Castle doess not invade Krystal territory (the only state with both is Tennessee - ironically, the place where Krystal started).

It's just the new toy in town.
When Krispy Kreme came in SF area, people went crazy for it... it being sugar bombs suspended in glutenous fried dough.
Talk about trashing your body chemistry. You might as well put sugar in your gas tank.
People getting into fights for Popeye's chicken sandwich... really... it's Popeyes people!

Had my first ones from Scottsdale last week. Gross. Tastes like nothing. Chee it long enough and you get a little McDonald's burger taste.

As a Minnesotan who grew up with White Castle, it is a nostalgic taste. But it's nothing unusual. It's 80% bun & pickle & onion flavor and the beef is average.

But it's a heaven-sent blast of flavor after a night at the bar. I'll take 6 jalapeno cheeseburgers, thank you.

Arizona, welcome to the lucky 13 states with White Castles, the world's very first fast-food chain. And the harbinger of salvation for binge-drinkers.

The irony is that White Castle target market use to be in less well-to-do neighborhoods. In the Midwest, you often see them around liquor stores and pawn shops. Certainly around more budget suburbs. Some how, people in Scottsdale figured they scored a gem because they are waiting in line for these sliders. Fear not. The lines will settle down just like Crispy Cream Donuts.

I will admit that I crave them once every 5 years and always when I am over served. Soon after, I am reminded that White Castles are "the gift that keeps on giving". Have a 1/2 dozen "burgers" and you will learn what I mean.

White Castle in Casino Royale is a great place to soak up liquor late at night. Idk if I’d like it in any other context

You would like them more if you were broke. To me, the biggest appeal is the buns But then again, I've always been a bun guy. Kidding aside, they made decent tasting onion chips. Especially with a cold beer and a beer buzz.

I am thankful for that one and the one on Fremont Street! They now offer 2 vegan burger options and it's great to have a place to grab a quick snack or after drinking bite

White Castle is the place you go to when you've been drinking. Because any sober person would not venture there...LOL. There's a reason we call the Belly Bombers in NY
