It's permanent, as soon as the airlines there move to Terminal 3. Feb 5 is planned to be the last day.

I kinda liked 2. It's old but there were never any crowds so it was fast.

I've never been. Every flight I've taken has been terminal 4.

I'll miss the parking and short walk to the gates.

It has been a while since I flown out of T3 (I think I last flew Delta in 2014); but I have see the landside portion of the new T3 while waiting for other passengers.

One thing that is a little disappointing is that most of the landside concessions are gone. There are none in the waiting area; I haven't been near the security checkpoint yet. However, in a post-9/11 world, it is generally preferred to have most of the concessions airside since most people prefer to clear security before having to eat, drink, or shop. I wish they could have at least put vending machines over at the waiting area.

No one wants to hang out outside of security. Grab a power bar on your way to pickup your people if you can’t go an hour without sustenance.

PJ, the new South Concourse in T3, after security, is really nice, too bad all the concourses in T4 don't look like that one!

There are some airports now, I think Pittsburgh and Detroit, who have large mall-like shopping areas behind security, that allow non-ticketed people to go through security for a certain amount of time, shop and come back out.

Terminal 2 was the best terminal at Sky Harbor because it was uncrowded. In the last 2 decades, airlines without a major presence in Phoenix flew out of it. United was flying to hub cities like Denver out of it. Before the United-Continental merger, Continental was in 2. I liked when I’d have United or Continental flights because Terminal 2 was in crowded. It was old but not dealing with the Southwest or American (US Airways or America West prior to mergers) crowds was totally worth it. It was also reminiscent of old Phoenix before the massive growth.
