I actually haven't read anything about this on social media (just the one AZ Central article and now the one you posted plus some links from there).

It does appear that connecting multiple deaths without clear cut evidence might be a little hasty.

This is not Gilbert's first time with violent rich kids terrorizing the citizens, either. Long time residents will recall the Devil Dogs who committed similar acts in the late 90s.

People considering moving the area are well advised to avoid Gilbert unless and until the police there get control of this situation.

The police dispute this account and not one of the kids were actually in Gilbert.

The facts are Gilbert is one of the safest communities in the USA but crime still occurs here like anywhere else.

I'll give the cops the benefit of the doubt that they are keeping things close to the vest to not compromise the investigation. But the facts will come out and they will show that the kids know what they are talking about and the Arizona Republic reporting is right.

Some teens in DC carjacking an FBI agent a few weeks ago. About three per day in DC lately.

Gilbert PD now back tracking a bit and saying they need to look into it more. This is after ABC 15 did an investigation.

Yeah it is kinda crazy (but perhaps not, things never change that much) how similar this is to the Devil Dogs stuff when I was a kid. None of the kids in those cases ever got any substantial punishment either. A couple got like a year in jail but that was it, most got probation. Would not be surprised if those guys kids are now the ones doing similar things.

So? What does that have to do with the topic of this thread?

People often will point out how crime is worse in other cities as a reason why we should not be concerned with ours. I do not care what happens in DC but I do care about what happens within a few miles of me in Gilbert.

It is crazy sometimes how people think we should just accept crimes as a common thing.

I want to give the benefit of the doubt to the cops, but this is looking more and more like a coverup than a real investigation. It is good to see the press expose them.
