I moved to Phoenix to get a $400,000 mortgage at earning $10 an hour.

Sounds like there is a lot more going on with you than you just don't like it here. And no city, not this one, not Seattle, is responsible for that. Hope you find a happy life somewhere else.
I completely see that. I did nothing but work in Sacramento and my life was crap. I move away from Sacramento and come to Arizona. I am going to school, find more job opportunities, better women, and more international opportunities. I say it was all for the better to move here.

I'm moved back here from San Diego in May. I lived here 2 yrs ago and i hated it and couldn't wait to move back to San diego. But I moved back because Phoenix is a good come up place because of the cost of living and their is alot of jobs here. These people that are from AZ are very stupid, I never met people like them before, I will only be here for 2 years I couldn't live here the rest of my life and have my kids grow up here and take the risk of them being like these people here, I will be here until I get my degree.

I will agree that San Diego is a way nicer place to live than Phoenix, but what you just said makes you look very ignorant. I stayed in San Diego before, and there are a lot of stupid people there too. There are stupid people everywhere so do not generalize a whole city because of a few bad apples.

yes I agree with you that their are stupid people EVEYWHERE, but it seems like every person I meet that was born and raised in AZ, their's something missing it might be because of the heat. And the reason why so many people move here is because of the jod market that the natives won't take advantage of!

I'm in the exact same situation now except I haven't made it to Phoenix yet.

I feel like I'm stuck in Sac.

I suggest you open your horizons a little bit. I was born and raised in Phoenix myself. Maybe you are not staying in the right area? There are good areas where people generally have a good head on there shoulders. On the other head, there are the "brain dead" areas too.

I moved to the West Valley 12 years ago because I could not afford a house near San Francisco. Doubled my money on a house in Goodyear and went back to San Francisco to find out that i still couldn't afford it. Now I'm in Sierra Vista, remote but a lot cooler.
Arizona seems to be a place where you are supposed to pay full price for a half as----d job

I wound up here in the Phx area in 1990 with my now ex wife: it was her idea to check out Arizona (we met in SoCal), long story short...........I did well here but she crashed and burned.

Yes; the summers are pigs but; since my hatred for '4 season' climates is well known here on City Data---------I can tolerate our 110F+ temps right now!

The city is headed to corruption and lately not even the once safe Scottsdale is safed anymore. Phoenix is getting dangerous and the native Phoenicians well the ones who live in the city SUCK!!! The gay scene is dead and EVERY last one of them with it.

Bottom line this city is a gigantic toliet...
Phoenix isn't that bad. I hope you find happiness wherever you move to, but don't forget happiness starts in your own heart and can't be acquired solely from your surroundings.
