You know, I have stated this repeatedly. I am not financially stupid. Therefore, you are most likely correct. However, it will NOT be because I see any redeeming virtue in this place, rather, I am too financially savvy to move on. Now, to be fair, some people could tell me to cut my losses and move back up to the Bay Area. However, the only person I know who will do this is a guy living from hand to mouth, which I have NO intention of doing.

I'd be interested in knowing which city you are originally from ? Not so I can bash that place, but I find it interesting how some love it here and others do not. Is it SF as you'v ementioned in these recent posts?

Is there anything in AZ better than where you are from?

I am from Mpls. Land of 10,000 REAL lakes. Then I lived on the CA coast for 13 years. What's better about AZ? The 24/7 drive through Mexican joints. That's about it. Oh, and the fact I own a piece of property outright in N. Scottsdale on 18K plus sq feet. That is the ONLY thing that makes it palatable.

Are you the person I recommnded a lake to? Seems like I posted a response to someone that didn't like our carp/catfish lakes in the pHX area.

Do you mean Filibertos or Humbertos ?

YOu own a house in what many consider one of the best towns in America. Seriously, that's not something to take for granted, is it? Really, shelter is quite a big thing and you own it! How many Americans can say they own anything(net worth)? Try to find other San Frans like yourself that you can have smiliar dialogue with (good/bad about san fran and AZ) and maybe you won't feel like a fish out of water. Someone that can relate to you. Just a suggestion is all....until you are able to leave, if that is what you intend to do.

Let me put it this way: while growing up in the Wash DC area; our immigrants (most of whom were legal) did their damnedest to assimilate and were quite grateful to be living in the USA.

Having lived in California: I felt like a stranger in my own nation------------which flat angers me. Here in Arizona I am living back in the USA where Americans still have rights.

No: I happen to like Arizona; do I go to the California Forums and slam the folks for living there?

Maybe it is time for you to grow up and learn to be more respectful.

Odd that you should say this. I presume you are a strict Constitutionalist. What part of the first amendment don't you understand? Of course, this presumes you EVEN know what I refer to.

No, actually, I am not the person with whom you discussed lakes or fishes Yes, I do own a beautiful home in a great area on a big yard. That is true. And I do know I am blessed. Nonetheless, it does tend to put things into perspective. Oh, and Big Burrito over near 23rd Ave and Dunlap is the BEST! Much better than even Filiberto's.

Maybe what he is trying to tell you is that just because you don't like the place, doesn't mean the place is bad and no one should move here.
