If you’re planning to move here be prepared to be nuked. In July the golf courses are empty and the swimming pools don't have anyone in them. Trying going to the lake and you will be alone. The only thing to do here in July in sit in an air condition place like the movies, mall, store, or home and watch TV. Forget about outdoor stuff unless you’re like to play with a sun stroke. If you just have to move here visit in the summer then make your move in the other seasons so the shock isn't so great.

I love it.

Wear a hat and sunscreen.

Of course, the locals here think I'm crazy; I used to spend my weekends ice fishing....

Yeah, it is hot, but I totally disagree with you. I just drove by the Las Vegas Strip and it is packed. Tomorrow, I can guarantee it will be so packed it will be hard to even walk. Las Vegas is just as hot as Phoenix so that is why I posted this. Currently it is 102 degrees here right now per the weather channel.

You forget to mention the other 9 months of the year when you can do all the stuff you speak of while everyone else in the country is holed up because it's cold.

Default 60 foot truck

I helped unload a 60 foot truck full of furniture - yesterday in this heat...

Drank lots of water... Took hours cause there was just two of us...

But we're fine...

I will mow the lawn tomorrow, I'll wait til late morning just to bask in the higher temps verses early morning...

You think I'm kiddin but I'm not...

Ghost - You must be young because an older person knows better
Chorizo - I have been to the big lake off of 74 in July at noon and I seen about 10% compared to other times of the year
Vegas - At Del Web you won't find anyone out in July like I posted to you
JDish2000 - Another young person who like a challenge, good for you
I'm 62 so I have to be careful of the heat

Tell me about it, I remember back in 2005 when I was a delivery driver(in Phoenix), with a car with no air conditioning. I was driving 9-10 hours a day, and sometimes the temps were up to 115 degrees. It was not fun, but I also survived. I think it has to do with the fact that I was born in Phoenix, and lived most of my life there. Even now, my car has no air conditioning and I am doing ok. They are forecasting 104 degrees tomorrow, and highs reaching as high as 108 next week. It doesn't even phase me anymore.

Edit: I got a pm asking about my age, I am 34 so I am definitely not young anymore.
