The N. Scottsdale, Rio Verde area is surrounded to the North by The Tonto Forest, to the West by The Scottsdale Preserve and to the South by 22,000 ac McDowell Mountain regional park to the East by The Salt River. Unbelievable views of weavers needle, four peaks etc. A great investment opportunity for the future! It's a great value at today's prices!

This is all true, unfortunately this original post was from 2009.

Prices are much higher today, but many of the same conditions as I stated in my previous post (1/20/10) still exist in this area. Finding a ready to build lot will cost you significantly more than indicated in the original post.

Anyone wishing to buy and build in Rio Verde Foothills needs to know what they are doing and what they are paying for or you could become the owner of a great piece of desert that is too costly to build on.
