Next Friday I am seeing the Vans Warped Tour and the venue does not allow DSLR cameras. I don't want to rely on my cellphone because I want to conserve battery power and the pictures are meh. I wanted to buy a small point and shoot.

I was on Amazon and found a refurbished GoPro for $99. Are they any good? Would they be appropriate for concerts?

GoPro cameras are built with an extreme wide angel frame, suitable for mounting on your head or bike to do video as you ride, walk, run, etc. While they have a "narrow angle" setting, unless you are right on top of the stage, you won't like what you get.

Thanks, John. This will be the camera for my skating and swimming, then. I guess I will look into cheapie digital cameras for the Warped Tour. My Nikon point and shoot died last year after 10 years - the screen went black.

I ended up buying one, use it only for swimming and sports. It's not bad.
