Obviously we are all doing all this on a voluntary basis. In any event, you actually answered my question, so I am not sure why you are still complaining about me asking it.

and yet you argue against them.
I think if you pay close attention, I rarely (if ever) argue against LOOKING at an option. I love LOOKING at options.

But I am also not afraid to evaluate options critically, including with respect to their likely chances of success. Indeed, I would suggest that LOOKING at options implies doing exactly that.

these things make is very difficult for outsiders to estimate costs
Correct. My back of the envelope estimate, at best, is sort of an order of magnitude exercise.

Quote:
part of the problem of course is the free fare zone. there is zero benefit (revenue wise) to a surge in riders in the free fare zone to PAT.
Yep. For example, assuming my estimate was roughly correct, fares could likely cover most or all of the operating costs (e.g., 100 people per roundtrip at $2.25 gets you to around the right number, and you could probably charge the surcharge fare of $3.00 for a bit more revenue).

So assuming PAT is stuck with the free fare zone, such a shuttle service would benefit financially from bypassing the free fare zone (I guess meaning it would be express to at least Station Square and maybe all the way to SHJ).

I don't know if any of that is feasible, but I think it does make out the case for the parties to the free fare agreements perhaps being a little flexible in order to address these issues.

If you look at it closely people are dressed in business attire, not what is normally worn for a weekend ballgame or concert.

I do think it's funny that constant decreases in daily PAT service for regular users gets very little lip service, but when people from the suburbs who take the T as a novelty for a special event are inconvenienced, it's suddenly OMG DISASTER!!!!

And one of those dudes in a suit is having his picture taken by a bunch of people, which is also atypical T station behavior in my experience.

I was being sarcastic. So much for nobody using the thing.

Funny but all too predictable.

Hopefully, though, they can be persuaded to connect the dots to, say, greatly increased tunnel traffic as well.
