The gimmicks and marketing is what has put people in the seats. Very few have made so much $$$ with such a terrible product(up until the last 2 years). That marketing and PR dept. is as good as any.

There's no question they're good, just not my thing.

Copy that. As John Steigerwald would say, Just start the game. One of the best games I saw at PNC was during the Boston series years ago when they did a throwback night. No jumbotron, no PA, no shirt toss, hot dog shoot, pierogi races, no Bucco Brigade, and no Parrot. I loved it. I took in a few games at Fenway and Wrigley, great venues and very baseball savvy fans. Those are probably the only stadiums left that are no frills.

Not sure what that has to do with Brown playing PR guy but that's a funny pic.

I would expect the same type of PR move if/when they decide to deal Walker.

Josh Harrison extended. The team must be more sure that last year was "for real" than I am.

If last year is more "for real" than most think, the contract is a massive bargain. As it stands, he could significantly regress from last season and it's still a worthwhile deal.

Now we're talking. Approval of Bob letting the moths out of the wallet.

Now we just need to pay for some better pitching.
