Some of my favorite views are the upper floor units in the apartments or condos in Shadyside Squirrel hill, Highland Park and East liberty.

The Most Holy Name of Jesus Cemetery in Reserve Twp. has a view that encompasses many Pittsburgh neighborhoods, and even as far as the churches of Mt. Lebanon...

In Spring Hill you can find some awesome views. In particular, Itin, Goehring, Haslage, Yetta, and St. John's Lutheran Cemetery afford some great views. Vista, which is actually in East Allegheny (East Deutschtown), does as well.

IMO, St. John's Lutheran Cemetery has some of the best views of the city. Funny how many of the best viewpoints in this area are in cemeteries.

Yes, that's true about cool city views from cemeteries; the dead have better views than most of the living. But anyway, the views from St. John's Lutheran Cemetery are indeed some of the best. It's great to go up there for the panoramic views, but it's also an interesting cemetery as well (if you like cemetery exploring).

St. Mary's Cemetery in O'Hara has a sprawling view of Downtown, Oakland and the Allegheny River.

Thanks for the heads up! I will have to keep it in mind for a future visit.

If you are in the vicinity of Sharps Hill Road and Aleta you will get a similar view. However, the best view is the high point near the center of the cemetery.

I love the view from the top of the Allegheny General professional building's parking garage on Federal Street. It's not unexpected, but it's a cool view to be hovering above the North Side rooftops looking at the city.

Sheraden's Brunot Ave has a distant view of the city scape. Idk how many people know 'bout that one...

It's not too special since Sheraden's so far from Downtown. Yet since East Sheraden is a hilltop you can see the tops of big buildings to the south and the Ohio River/Northside to the east.
