My dream would be a whole summer of NO 90 degree days! Once it gets that hot, it can be miserable. And no, even a "dry" heat is unbearable. I wouldn't go sit in a 95 degree oven.

having lived in much drier areas, I can say without doubt that a west coast 100+ degree day is more comfortable than a north east 90 degree day. Honestly, I remember getting to a relatives farm in central CA one time and him asking if I was too hot to sit outside, I said how hot is it, like mid 80's? he replied, "its 106"
Here's hoping for a somewhat dry semi mild pittsburgh summer. high 70's and low 80's with limited rain would be ideal

It's enduring the heat three months before you go into labor that is tough.
I would have thought last summer would have been up there ..but maybe it just hit a few hot days. It sure seemed like the coolest since we moved here 7 years ago.

July 16, 1988. It reached 103. It was the hottest day in the history of Pittsburgh. I was in tuxedo at my neighbors wedding. The old reception hall had a shoddy AC. Everybody was drenched after shaking their booty on the dance floor. I switched from beer to water early. Not everyone did the same. It was, not pretty.

I went to a Pirates game that day (night?). You could just feel the heat pouring off the person in the next seat.
