I've never saw people on here talk about it and just wanted to hear what locals thought about it. I've lived there and about 4 years ago moved to Shaler, but I've always liked Millvale.

Millvale is one of my favorites. I love the business district, I love the Victorian era working class architecture, I love the grit. It's a great little town. It reminds me of a little eastern PA town.

Has a lot of potential. Love Troy Hill, but wouldn't mind living there. Won't be everyone's cup of tea, but what is?

I lived there for a few years. I liked being able to walk around a town. The location is great in my opinion. Lawrenceville right over the bridge. Quick commute downtown. Also very quick trip to McKnight Road. It is not the most aesthetically pleasing place but I felt safe living there and never had a problem.

It's nice if you get along with the aesthetics. Mr. Smalls is located there...reason enough to want to live there.

I've always thought it has an old, run down look. Not appealing to me at all.

I like it for the reasons other posters mentioned, but some parts are susceptible to flooding. It depends how far above Girty's Run you are.

Millvale is cool. You have Mr. Smalls, Pamela'a, Jean Marc's bakery, the weird Croatian church, Vecenie's (best beer distributor in the area), a library, and Draai Laag brewery. The downside is the flooding and the fact that some of it looks like a bomb was dropped on it.

Millvale:Pittsburgh::Pittsburgh:America.

America tends to think of Pittsburgh as this gritty post-industrial town with a few great buildings and customs that make it interesting. Most Pittsburghers see Millvale in exactly the same way.
