Brentwood was suggested to me is it a walkable neighborhood with shopping and public transportation easily accessible. Thanks again.

Brentwood is certainly walkable. My two cents would be to look at the area of Brentwood/Whitehall near the intersection of Brownsville Rd. and Rt. 51 if you are looking for easy an easy walk to shopping/dining. Brentwood Towne Center is a new shopping development that has most of what you will need and is very nice.
We actually live in Whitehall (right behind Brentwood) and walk there all the time.

Bellevue is walkable and very nice. You can't walk to a bar though, as it is a dry area.
