The UPMC doctor brings up an excellent points and I couldn’t agree more. We are focusing on the wrong things because the media wants us too.
Wow.

It’s a shame that you put politics over people’s lives so much that you would complain about the prospect of winning the fight against this pandemic when Biden wins.

Really speaks volumes.

https://www.mcall.com/news/pennsylva...2fq-story.html

From the article:
County health authorities said Friday two-thirds of the cases were among those 19-49 years old, some of whom reported traveling, attending protests and family gatherings or visiting or working in bars and restaurants. Travel included to places struggling with rising cases, including Myrtle Beach in South Carolina, Houston and Florida.

It appears to me that Rich Fitzgerald is making a decision using the best data available, and trying to act early enough before we look like those that did not.

They have no worries. This is a blue state virus. Right?

These are uneducated idiots, not entitled Palm Beach types with at least some sense of what is right and wrong and an education. I don't wear underwear because it needs to breathe? These people will end up in a mental hospital before they gain admission to their local country club.

"attending protests"

Yet he bans people from having a drink which is something a person can choose to do or not do on their own based on their perception of risk tolerances. Where did he ban gatherings of protesters?

Sounds like he / she has taken the time to understand the real data instead of just listening to the media which is twisting they data to tell the story they want people to hear. Start breaking down the cases and deaths and where they occur and the story and real risk is very different.

As the UPMC doctor said in the article previously posted, the severity of illness is decreasing. A vaccine is not a sure thing. If we do get a vaccine it will take a long time to make doses for the entire world. The natural process of the virus is happening and the government is interfering with that natural process. We need to protect the vulnerable without ruining the lives and businesses of everyone else.

What a ridiculous statement and one that speaks to the immaturity that would provide such a statement.

Covid is going to be a problem in 2021, no matter who is president, even if we are lucky enough to get a shot this year, it will take time to get it out there and for things to resume.

If this was about personal risk, then your argument makes sense. The issue is that the individual's appetite for risk impacts viral spread to others who may prefer (or more likely, absolutely cannot afford at any cost) to take on that level of risk.

It might be ridiculous to you but I have fact checked more articles than I can count and there is no doubt that media is twisting the information and data to push an anti-Trump agenda. The real story about COVID-19 is much different than the media and democrats are telling the people.

The fact is for most people the risk of this virus is about the same as the flu. We could protect the venerable while letting life go on.
