Pittsburgh was also the most livable city back in 1985.

What significant things has Peduto done?

That poster doesn’t live in Pittsburgh and doesn’t get to decide.

Pittsburgh residents obviously support this mayor because they keep voting for him. That’s all that matters. Bike lanes are wonderful btw

I never said I should be able to decide.

Pittsburgh residents vote for him because he’s one of very few that want the job and Pittsburghers vote Democrat.

Again, what significant thing do you want him to do and what significant things do mayors of other cities do? Mayors are the managers of cities.

Lol. Managers of cities? If that was the case most anyone with management experience could do the job.

Again, other than implementing bike lanes, what has he done?

Has he added quality jobs? Is he getting people to move to the area or are people leaving?

Haven’t you complained about the Civic Arena project taking so long? Did he do anything to get it done sooner?

How long has lead in the water been an issue?

Peduto isn't bad. I am very happy with the bike infrastructure. I don't think Peduto is a good business person. I am not sure how he is with police in today's off the charts climate.

I don't believe any mayor is in some great situation the way people act these days. So many spoiled people running around going nuts. Hope it is just the COVID, but I think many young people are being used by leaders on the Internet. The Internet is kind of like Hitler. Gets people when they are young and molds them into what he wanted. Pretty scary stuff.

Anyway, bike infrastructure is wildly improved and for the most part Pittsburgh people are more used to bikes on the roads. Do I dare take a lane very long with cars behind me? Maybe if it is brief. I try to avoid having a car behind me at all, so I choose routes that they can get by me easily. The anger I see on people's faces is pretty darn scary. Sure used to be different in that regard, but overall it is better for cyclists.

Are e-bikes common in Pittsburgh? I'd imagine the assists when going uphill would be useful.

Bingo.

I don't go to Robinson Township and try to tell them how they should run their affairs. I'm getting tired of people from points beyond trying to tell us here in the city how we should run things.

I was out cycling today on the bike lanes in the city. Had a good time. Was riding up Liberty towards Bloomfield but had to turn back because the rain made it hazardous.

I don't really see a lot of them. If you've been riding here long enough you've already got the pegs to handle the hills.

I go to Florida for spring training baseball and usually rent a bike for a few days to ride around while I'm there. Riding in Pittsburgh gives you super powers when you're in a flat area like Anna Maria Island.

Good. He's a mayor, not a business person.

Business people don't care to offer their products to people who can't afford them. They have no place in governance.

I have visited Pittsburgh a few times, and walked around, including up some steep hills. I grew up in San Francisco, so that is my frame of reference, and Pittsburgh hills are big league, no doubt.

I bike ride a lot, and am always interested in places that are good for bike riding. Here in Tucson, there is a lot of gentle terrain around most of the city area with bike lanes along most major streets. There is also a big network (150 miles) of bike / recreation paths that loop the metro area and connect a lot of places. In short, good place for bike riding. I can find a safe way to get from my apartment to almost any place in the city and avoid high traffic streets that don't have safe bike lanes. Is is possible to do that in Pittsburgh? Are there enough decent bike routes to avoid gear grinding hill climbs to get from A to B?
