He certainly didn't use enhancing drugs and didn't bet on games that he played in. So all players that smoke pot over the years shouldn't be in?

He should be inducted. I am in agreement with MM and our IQ's are similarly high. You should and will yield.

Since you obviously don’t follow the game or its players, it was far more than pot use. He was using and dealing cocaine.

I’m sure nobody yields or should yield to you, lol.

I wouldn't trust anything from the NYT, but I already knew he used cocaine. So what? That will probably next to be legal if there is money to be made from people who use it, just like pot. Government gotta cash in one way or the other. Like all the casinos everywhere now. Cocaine is on its way if it becomes popular again.

You will yield. I am the Super Genius.

Except it had nothing to do with pot use which is what you originally stated, and he wasn’t just using, he was dealing…and you don’t have to trust the NYT, as any long time baseball fan knew what happened along with most every media outlet covering it back in the day and even more recent, but great attempt at deflection on saying cocaine will probably be made legal after saying it was because of pot use.

Lol. You’ve proven you’re no super genius.

Madden and the “sports guys” missed another prediction on the Bills routing the Stillers.

Gotta give Tomlin credit for adjustments at the half. Huge win.

"dealing" is a bit of a stretch. He supplied some coke to his buddies. He certainly isn't a "drug dealer" as he didn't need a nickel from anyone. Everyone was partying on coke back then. He just got caught.

He is one of the best players the Pirates ever had on their team. The '79 Pirates were amazing and one of the most watched teams in the world. Parker was a huge part of "the family".

His stats speak for themselves. Not many players could compare to him.

1977 Gold Glove Award (National League Outfielder)
1977 Silver Bat Award (Bud Hillerich Award)
1978 Gold Glove Award (National League Outfielder)
1978 Most Valuable Player Award
1978 Player of the Month Award
1978 Player of the Month Award
1978 Silver Bat Award (Bud Hillerich Award)
1978 Sporting News Player of the Year Award
1979 All-Star Game Most Valuable Player Award
1979 Gold Glove Award (National League Outfielder)
1984 Ernie Lombardi Most Valuable Player Award (Reds MVP)
1985 Ernie Lombardi Most Valuable Player Award (Reds MVP)
1985 Player of the Month Award
1985 The Silver Slugger Award (National League)
1986 Ernie Lombardi Most Valuable Player Award (Reds MVP)
1986 The Silver Slugger Award (National League)
1989 Outstanding Designated Award (Now The Edgar Martinez Award)
1990 Outstanding Designated Award (Now The Edgar Martinez Award)
1990 The Silver Slugger Award (American League)

He should have been MVP twice. Statistically he was MVP.

Anyway, you can go on forever, so I stated my thoughts. That is about enough. You can go on and on alone. lol

Who said he shouldn’t be in the HOF based on stats?

Really quiet after a Stillers huge win…and Minkah played a great game.

Madden and the “sports guys” miss another one.

Raiders continue to be a Stillers nemesis.

It looks like he’s gonna be right about the 80 million man made of glass. That was a really bad move. Should’ve tagged him and then parted ways.
