From Morning Joe this morning, Rudy had several things to say among them being the quote in the Thread title.
But far worse than that is the last few seconds of the clip where he makes the very clear case that Obama has been utterly negligent in handling the Gulf Crisis.
He also makes the point that he has talked to industry leaders and they say Obama has not contacted them.
It is insane that we are now nearly 60 days into this thing and we are still nowhere near ramped up as we could be for getting the oil out of the gulf.
It is equally insane that we still do not have any way to measure the amount of oil being released. That could have been done in the first week and Obama has allowed BP to prevent that from happening.
It is criminal. I do not see how anyone can defend Barak Obama on these two points.
I think it's funny that they can measure how much they are extracting to put into production to make money. They have to be able to do that to run a business...the profits have to justify the costs so of course they know how much is coming out of that hole.
Latest numbers I heard was that BP is sucking up 600,000 gallons per day and that is with the leak. How much is escaping is anyone's guess.
They (both BP and government) grossly underestimated. And they didn't even bother to tell us how much that well was producing BEFORE the blast.

My Texas friend, we are being lied to. A few days ago, I saw some information on the www that suggests the government new the leak could have been as much as 100k barrells per day as early as the first week.
Bush lied about WMD's, sent us to war against a country on false pretenses, disobeyed UN sanctions, broke countless geneva convention codes, allowed torture, the appaulling responce to katrina,.. and that idiot wasn't impeached??? If that was a democrat, his head would have been on a stake.

Isnt' the hypocrsiy amazing? Bush was the talking head of a crime family and Ghouliani knows it! What a Bush a$$ kisser Rudy is.
I was on the gulf coast this past weekend.... people are honestly trying their hardest to help out. We had multiple researchers from aquariums all over the world, hazmat specialists (including myself), fisherman, animal trainers, and a multitude of other people all working together to help out as much as we could. I am absolutely NOT blaming Obama for anything, he is acting as best he can and so is everyone else.
How many of you have gone down there and helped out?

I wish I could but it sounds like they are asking volunteers to leave the clean up to the professionals. Maybe there are things people living there can do with some training and I feel certain the community/ies are gearing up for that.
It seemed like the Coast Guard is/was burning oil out/off of the water and that seems to help--from a CNN segment last night.
A company in Gainesville, GA is preparing a type of absorbent pad--Mycolex? or similar chemical to ship to the Gulf areas. I'm in ATL so this was news here.
I saw a report that they have tried to use booms or block the pass to Destin as oil is headed that way today.
