I was listening to a guy today on the radio discussing how he was hired to go to Louisiana to manage 12 machines (which would sit on a barge), which would suck up the oil... He's been sitting all week, waiting for the environmental impact studies to be completed on the sucking up of oil. So far, he's received permission to operate one of the barges, and he's been there 2 weeks..
Truly incredible. These barges/machines should have been on site 55 days ago, ready to go, already inspected.
Is no one down there, or in the oval office using what little brains they have?
They were NOT just checking for life vests, they were also checking for the person or person's that constructed the barge.
Do the barges hold a license? I know here in Ohio, and in PA, all boats are licensed. If they are licensed, why would you need to contact the individuals that constructed them?
If this was taking place under Bush.. I dont think you'd be making up excuses to explain why one couldnt send out barges and then RADIO and ask them if they had life vests on board, and if not, send some out in another boat..
But, but, but I thought we weren't supposed to talk about Bush.
Let's keep this conversation to Obama.

Oh goody... Bush rhetoric to the rescue... coulda, woulda, shoulda... keep going. Its amusing.
Friggin incredible. For 24 hours, as the oil continued to seep into the water and on shore, the obama administration got a bug up their a**. They needed to check if the barges had life-vests and fire extinguishers.
Truly incredible. If one didn't know better, one might believe the obama administration WANTS the oil in the water, on the land.<snip>
So now you complain because the Coast Guard is doing it's job?
I think you just validated my point and the need for respiratory gear.. Thanks for playing...
Wait, what? What point did you make in this thread? Playing along with what? You didn't make a point. YOu were your usual self attempting to spin. Now if your talking about the other thread, if you noticed, I didn't respond to that one so what play along are you refering too?
So instead of directing this at the OP for getting all up in arms for doing exactly what BP threatened to do , you bypassed her rant instead of replying in jest as you did in the previous thread but claimed that I validation and played along in your imaginary game? What your scared to correct her?

There's your spin again...What is wrong with you? Once again, previous thread exact same excuse. Except in that thread YOU as your state made an excuse for BP for threatening to stop the clean up. Now that its the other way around, I'm making excuses. Your hypocricy knows no end.

Did you forget the part where they were cleaning up Oh I Don't know....OIL.

There was no spinning going on. Had you looked at the link you posted talking about respiration gear, I was the one who explained why its needed. Now you come along tell me that its needed.. NO **** Shirlock Holmes.. But now you are trying to compare the possibility of not having a life jacket or a fire extinguisher (which would be very important in case of the obvious), to why protective gear is needed.
Just validation that what I said was accurate.. Again, had a life jacket or fire extinguisher been missing, one could have been taken out to them on another boat, while respiratory gear not the same due to the fact they'd be sitting out there inhaling all of the garbage oil gives off..
You tried to prove that both were acceptable, but they arent.. and your posting proved it..
