Well oz, I spent several years in the militray. You are from Australia right? Do they even have an army?
I know that you hate government agents. But I trust their reports more than any NRA/wingnut websites.
You mean like the LA Times?

Maybe...just maybe oz...they get a small percent of their weapons from overseas. But this does not discount they get almost all from the United States. Both statements can be true. IM me if you need further clarification...
Again,WHERE would the narco-terrorists be buying RPG launcher's and grenades from in the USA in any sort of numbers????

Is it your position then that no weapons are crossing the border south?
Never stated that, simply pointed out the fallacy in the position the weapons are coming from the USA....when in fact RPG launchers aren't manufactured here and some of the grenades found were from South Korea.

But even as the crackdown on the cartels continues south of the border, it’s clear to authorities in both Washington and Mexico City that stemming the flow of guns starts in the U.S., where an estimated 95 percent of those illegal weapons originate.
Just as the U.S. has failed to halt the northward flow of drugs and migrants, Mexico has been unable to stem the southward flow of guns and money. At this point, two thousand miles of shared border, thousands of daily border crossings and millions of tons of moving freight are providing unlimited—and largely unregulated—opportunities for smugglers.
Although few in the government want to talk about it, corruption also plays a role—in part because of the enormous amount of money generated by illegal drug purchases in the U.S.
According to a report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office, the drugs that flow across the U.S.-Mexico border generate as much as $23 billion in revenue every year (PDF).
“Make no mistake about it: U.S. firearms are fueling a drug war.”
– Bill Newell, a Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) special agent
A hint to all the SEAL THE BORDER folks. If Drug trafficers and illegal migrants can cross at will into the north... then the same Drug smugglers can just as easily cross back into the south loaded up with a shopping cart of weapons.
Can you understand?
Why would they bother buying inferior weapons here in the USA when more powerful ones are available in Mexico and to the south?
You got military weapons coming into South America and working their way north.
Heck..they even have a submarine. How hard is it to trace a submarine to find out who sold it to them ?

The cartels are actually building the subs...or semi-submersibles.
Pretty clever of them really...but of course they are still buying weaponry from gun shows here in the USA...
You can hunt with an AR...just thought you might like to know.
