It really doesn't matter whether they pass the bill or not. If there is a national emergency such as 911, they will do what they have to do, including shutting down the internet.

Who said anything about a religion? Do you not see how this law could block peoples' access to knowledge as they did in Germany when they burned books? I know it's not on that level but it's from the same mindset. National Security? So, the internet can kill people now?

National Security Agency's Surveillance Data Could Fill Two States by 2015 | Popular Science

This is what we have to look forward to in this country and it's just for our own good too because they wouldn't ever lie to us would they?

What does Nazism have to do with religion? I hope you aren't seriously asking this question.
The book burning done by Nazis had little to do with restricting general knowledge. Essentially all it did was eliminate written records of accomplishments by Jewish people. If you really think Obama's goal in this is to destroy the records of accomplishments of a race or religion, you need to be institutionalized.
And yes the internet is a source of communication. More people communicate and have the potential to conspire over the internet than they do over standard forms of communication.
I'm not too favorable of this law either, but this is nowhere near the mindset of Nazism. I have friends who are descendants of Holocaust victims who would spit in your face for even implying this BS.

I didn't say Nazism had anything to do with religion. You mentioned religion in your previous post and I just wanted to know where you got the idea that the kill switch had anything to do with eliminating a religion? If you are referring to the title of the thread where I said, "Hail Hitler" ....Well that was a joke and kind of how the government is making a lot of us feel like right now. As if we need to bow down to Hussein and accept anything that he wants to push into law because we will be called terrorists and racists if we don't.

So many people depend on internet these days that shutting it down would cause much more troubles.
Nobody owns the web so why would somebody have the power to cut it off?

That's the point I am trying to get too. The excuse the government gives to shut it down is absurd. They say that in case of a threat to national security or to prevent loss of life. That is absurd to think that shutting down the internet will stop a bomb from going off or a group of terrorists from hijacking airplanes ect...

You can carry yourself in whatever manner you so choose. Just let it be known the path you're taking (making comparisons to Hitler out of the side of your mouth) will result in little credibility in the eyes of the educated.
As for your fear of internet oversight becoming the new book burning, I don't think you've read the terms of what's being proposed. You're still free to look up whatever you want on google, you can still search newspaper article collections and data bases, and you can still view and edit wikipedia all you want.

So how does misjudging the manner of which terrorists conspire make Obama Hitler?

You mean the kind of terms that the government always tells us is for our own good like with the Patriot Act. I have read the terms of the new law and I see right through the bullsh%t. History repeats itself and just because we are America doesn't mean there can't be tyranny here.
