I've always wondered about the use of "reverse discrimination". I know what "discrimination" means, so if it's "reverse" then it must mean that there is no discrimination.

or
The gov enforces laws that are meant to prevent discrimination based on sex religion or race and yet pass laws that institutionalize discrimination based on the same criteria meant to exclude a certain race or sex.
In other words quota based systems. Tax breaks for using such systems, or civil service jobs that uses such systems in their hiring practices.

You are correct. Why would anyone have an issue with no discrimination??

Because the victim card has no power once discrimination claims are disproven. There are public figures and pliticians who have built careers based on the continued victimhood of their followers/constituents. Tell me where Jesse Jackson and Rev. Al Sharpton would be if they could no longer claim that discrimination existed? Hint: out of the limelight

Nah then they'd switch to sexism. Or handicappism or any other ism. They wouldn't give up without a fight. They chase behind the emotional appeals that get the most coverage. Do you think Jackson really cared about Terry Schiavo? Of course not, but that was the biggest thing in the media at the time so to the media he went.

I don't think he claimed it was a racist statement, merely that it was a phrase commonly used by racists. Burberry clothing is expensive clothing and there is nothing thuggish about it, however it is very popular amongst football hooligans in England.
