The white attorney said, 'You're getting older it would probably be best to sell...' Attorneys will say things like that, any and all. At times they arouse my ire, but that is to be expected.

Federal employee, signs an oath--sworn to conduct herself with integrity according to defined standards. There are more pressing issues--how thoroughly must we investigate each other?

She received apologies, support from the populace, a new job offer has been extended. I have never been that fortunate and believe this is rare. Does race play a part? We have moved beyond that, I understood.
No, we have not moved beyond it. Racism is alive and well in the US, no matter what color expresses it. It's just a little better closeted than it used to be.

read takeahike's post. The first attorney was ineffective, so she accompanied them to another attorney. Their farm was saved.

You need to raise your standards when it comes to journalistic integrity.

Did Mr. Spooner lose his farm as a result of Ms. Sherrod's "negilgence?"

Again, blame the victim.
The denial seems to be yours. Sherrod admitted to committing a federal offense.

Answer the question...
Do you really want to posit that it's okay to commit a crime as long as it ends well?

good grief man, she did not help him, she dumped him off on a white lawyer, and he helped the farmer, Sherrod washed her hands of him. I suppose Sherrod could have just taken her bigotry to the higher level and hung up on him, but she chose the lesser of two evils and dumped him off on someone else.

This would be like a black man who is a certified EMT, sitting in his ambulance, redirects a white guy under going a heart attack, to a hospital in the next county, because he did not want to help him, and the sick man runs into the best cardiac doctor on the planet who just happens to be standing out front of his private practice, and saves the man's life, and you say the racist EMT should be thanked.

Default only mad dogs and msnbc, MOM and Rick

Who demanded she pull over to the side of the road to resign? Why?

The PO admin wrote off FOX as 'not the palce to get your news'.

When was the demand she resign in relation to FOX's broadcast?

FOX did what?

Sherrod said the whitehouse was involved, Gibbs said it wasn't.

Her boss said he acted alone without white house intervention...Shirley disputes that. She wants an apology from Obama. What the heck is she thinking.

Seems the story is, who is lying, Sherrod, Vylsak or Gibbs? Who the heck cares what FOX says in light of government officials' inconsistent statements.

Why did the naacp condem her?.... when they held the entire tape

Accusations of 'cherry picking with intent' belongs to someone other than FOX. The mainstream 'center of excellence' for biased blathering belongs to MSNBC with a Rick Sanchez trying his best to hitch his star to their wagon.

Guess the e-mail cabal of the 'mainstream' braintrust and their strategy to attack Obama opponents is a non story.

I'm almost embarassed to be reading/responding to this thread in light of the disasterous financial reform about to be signed into law.

So she dumped him off twice, yippee, stumbling to success would put it mildly.

I wonder, how many white folks she refused to help, and kicked to the curb, before she felt guilty enough, and generous enough to dump them off on "one of their own kind"?

Sherrod also said she's not certain that President Obama "fully" supports her but would like the opportunity to teach him some life lessons, describing him as "not someone who has experienced some of the things I've experienced in life."

This is edifying. The director of the rural GA development agency is at such a high level that she believes she could/should go to the White House and teach the POTUS some life lessons.

I did not realize the government worked this way. My branch of 'the government' didn't work this way.

As long as SS has her financial needs met--we can all be happy.

Good points. There is something really screwy going on here...

Yeah Breitbart is scum of the earth.

Now he claims that this isn't about Sherrod and that it's about the NAACP. Except, they weren't even involved at first...

Typical right-wing mouth-breather - when you get caught lying, move the goalposts.

It's just way too simple to comprehend!
