There's not much to explain as it's very clear. Listen to what Sherrod said she did while working for an agency that received federal funding, and read the Civil Rights Act, Title VI. Civil Rights Division Home Page
Are you not able to understand what Sherrod said she did, or what the Civil Rights Act mandates?
YOU are the one hammering on your belief that Sherrod broke the law. It's your burden of proof to explain it. I'm not answering questions about this until you explain specifically what she said and why you THINK she broke the law. As I said before, numerous people have answered your question and told you that you are incorrect, so.........what have you got which makes you believe that she committed a crime. Just spell it out, dude. Did she DO something or did she THINK something? Specifically what did she DO?

Seriously? You can't understand these very simple words...
"No person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance."
Sherrod freely admitted that she subjected the farmer to discrimination on the basis of his race/color.

Sherrod's specific quotes, please. Was her admission to her thoughts or to her ACTIONS. Specifically, what ACTIONS did Sherrod take which were discriminatory toward the farmer? Give a full presentation of your case that Sherrod broke the law by actions she took.

I believe it was Fox News that questioned if there was a violation of the Hatch Act, federal employees not permitted to engage in political activities during work hours/primary focus the collection of donations for candidates.
She was not in violation of the Hatch Act and since she provided some assistance and then later much more assistance which eventually saved the farm from bankruptcy, then the asessment is that she didn't violate the spirit/intent of the law.
Anti-discrimination lawsuits against school systems required a bit more from employees. I wonder how the department of Education would have responded--decentralized?--beyond the scope of our organizational goals.
Most employees understood that it wouldn't be a good idea to make such remarks at any time.

Actions.
Sherrod: "I was struggling with the fact that so many black people have lost their farmland, and here I was faced with having to help a white person save their land. So, I didn't give him the full force of what I could do."
I was hoping to get Informed Consent to do the work necessary to demonstrate specifically why he believes she committed a crime.
He/she responded. I don't think she would ever be quite as effective in her previous position and she isn't certain she wants to accept the position offered--anti-discrimination specialist for the Department of Agriculture.
Members of the NAACP interviewed by CNN in support of Shirley Sherrod stated that 'Our work is not done we have a long way to go'. SS stated that she believes Breitbart wants the country to return to Slavery--won't be satisfied until African Americans live in this manner. Do I understand the context, yes, I do. There are some mean-spirited, vile humans in every ethnic group. Sherrod may consider civil litigation against Breitbart--I would prefer that.
Half a century of this and more to come.
Let's get back on topic here, folks. This is about Breibart, not Thomas Sowell, David Duke etc.
Actually it is also about Shirley Sherrod and InformedConsent continues to repeat the question over and over about a crime he thinks she committed. Responses to that position are NOT bickering.

Nitsua, what part about...
"No person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance."
...do you not understand?
